Our Team

John has worked as a full time union officer, as an employed solicitor, part time university lecturer in Workplace Health & Safety and, since 1990, as a partner in a number of law firms. Commencing with Hall Payne Lawyers in 1999 as a Partner, he is now a Principal of the firm.

Cameron Hall’s commitment to helping ordinary Australians is evidenced by the extraordinary results he achieves for his clients.

Commencing his legal education more that 37 years ago, Cameron has significant expertise and experience in advising on and conducting all aspects of general civil litigation, insurance and commercial litigation, and estate litigation.

He is currently practising with a particular consultative emphasis involving the coal mining and construction industries.

Leeha was appointed an Associate of the Firm in 2000 and became a Principal in July 2004. Leeha is committed to seeking fairness, improvement and justice for her clients.

Linda Brangan, a Principal of Hall Payne Lawyers, has proven herself to be a valuable team leader in her specialist area.

Agnes holds an LLB and LLM from Sydney University and has over 30 years experience, initially in NSW and then, since 1999, in Queensland. She commenced working with Hall Payne Lawyers as a Principal in the firm’s family law section in May 2010. Agnes practises exclusively in family law and has been an accredited specialist in her field since 1994.

Charles Massy holds an LLB from QUT and commenced with the firm 2003. He practises solely in firm’s Industrial and Employment Law section.

Annette Lakey has practiced exclusively in family law for a period of 13 years, in both Victoria and Queensland. She gained her Accredited Specialistion in family law in 2005.

Annette’s practice deals largely with children’s matters, property and maintenance. She has also had experience in Children’s Court and Application for Domestic Violence Orders.

Wayne was admitted as a Solicitor in September 2004 and joined the Firm in February 2010 as an Associate. He is passionate about protecting the rights of ordinary Queenslanders and brings that comitment to his work. Laura has been with Hall Payne Lawyers since August 2007, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (2005, Murdoch University), Bachelor of Laws (2007, Queensland University Technology) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (2008 Queensland University of Technology). Laura was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008 and the High Court of Australia in 2009.

Luke Tiley practises in the areas of Industrial and Employment Law, including Anti-Discrimination Law.

Kym commenced employment with Hall Payne Lawyers as a Solicitor in August 2011 having practised largely as a plaintiff lawyer in Queensland for the last 15 years. Cale Fryer has past experience working on insurance litigation matters, having worked as a paralegal for an insurance recoveries company prior to joining Hall Payne Lawyers as a Trainee Lawyer in 2009. Cale celebrated his admission as a Solicitor in May 2010.

Carly Barnard commenced employment with Hall Payne Lawyers in June 2011. Carly graduated from Griffith University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). Casey Sullivan commenced full-time work at Hall Payne Lawyers in February 2009 as a Trainee Lawyer and was admitted as a lawyer in June 2010. She is currently developing her knowledge in the area of Industrial and Employment Law under the careful guidance of John Payne, Principal of the firm.

Ian has significant experience in the areas of estate planning, the making and contesting of wills and other estate litigation. He has a particular expertise in relation to trusts including both charitable and discretionary trusts as well as the investment of trust assets.
