Experience
Leeha James commenced employment with the Firm in March 1998 (having completed 5 year articles) and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in 1998. She was appointment an Associate of the Firm in 2000 and became a Partner in July 2004.
As a mother of two Leeha is very considerate to the needs and struggles of working parents, particularly those who find themselves in traumatic circumstances or events beyond their control. She is acutely aware of the impact of these events on work and at home.
Leeha has a strong empathy with people seeking fairness, improvement and justice. Her approach is practical and down to earth. Her clients and colleagues find her friendly and approachable yet highly professional in her work ethic and attitude.
Making a difference and achieving improvement are Leeha’s professional and personal goals.
Leeha manages and mentors a team of Lawyers, trainees and paralegals at our Peel Street office in addition to catering to the needs of her regional clients situation in Northern Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Leeha has had a long involvement in all aspects of her specialist area.
Qualifications
Leeha holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) (majoring in Australian Politics) and a Bachelor of Law and is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist.
