Lucy Farmer

Lucy graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from RMIT University in 2024, where she developed a solid foundation in legal theory.

During her studies, she gained hands-on experience through a short-term clinical legal internship at the Police Advisory Branch of the Victorian Government Solicitors Office. In this role, Lucy contributed to legal research, assisted in providing advisory support and developed a deeper understanding of public law and its impact on policy and law enforcement.

Throughout her time at university, Lucy worked in the hospitality industry, an experience that deepened her understanding of worker’s rights and workplace issues. This hands-on experience has fostered her empathy for workers facing challenges, including wage disputes, unfair treatment, and safety concerns. It has also shaped her commitment to advocating for fair treatment and better working conditions for those in susceptible sectors.

Driven by a strong passion for increasing access to justice, Lucy is particularly dedicated to advocating for individuals impacted by injury or adversity. She is committed to using her legal experience to help those facing significant challenges, believing in the transformative power of law to create a positive change.

Outside of her professional life, Lucy enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, and living by the beach with her dogs. These activities help her maintain balance and recharge as she continues to build her career.

As she moves forward in the legal field, Lucy is committed to advancing justice and advocating for workers’ rights, especially those in vulnerable positions, to have access to the legal resources and support they need.
