Dale Blackmore

Having grown up around the union movement he's been committed to advocating for workers' rights ever since.

Dale Blackmore is an Associate in Hall Payne’s employment and industrial relations team in our Brisbane office.

Dale has wanted to become a lawyer in the union movement since early high school where his aptitude for solving problems and social sciences motivated him further.

His mother’s work with the Queensland Public Sector Union (QPSU) – now Together Queensland – was an inspiration too.

“I saw her have a great impact helping union members as an industrial officer at the QPSU,” says Dale.

Before joining Hall Payne, Dale was a trainee organiser at Together Queensland. At high school, his commitment to workers’ rights and justice was demonstrated through work experience placements with Together Queensland and his involvement in other events.

“Working with Hall Payne’s highly respected Director, John Payne, has been extremely interesting,” says Dale.

“I’ve learnt a lot working closely with John about the particular skill set of industrial and employment law.”

Dale is a member of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland. His keen interest in politics keeps him absorbed in current affairs when he’s not at work.
