Simat Khamas

Simat Khamas is a Solicitor in Hall Payne’s personal injury team in our Sydney office. She is admitted to both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
Holding a Diploma in Legal Services from the Australian Careers Business College, Simat commenced work as a full-time legal assistant in 2016. She was subsequently appointed as a paralegal working under the supervision of a senior associate, then appointed as a solicitor in September 2022 following her admission.
Simat has gained extensive experience in assisting injured workers with all aspects of compensation claims and has also provided assistance in employment and criminal-related claims. She has also gained extensive experience providing legal services to a wide variety of unions, including the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association, Electrical Trades Union, NSW Teacher’s Federation, Independent Education Union and the Transport Workers Union.
Simat is an approved lawyer for the Independent Legal Assistance and Review Service (ILARS) administered by the Independent Review Office (IRO).
Outside of work, Simat enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
