Alex Williams is a solicitor in Hall Payne’s Employment and Industrial Relations team. Alex, originally from Gladstone, graduated from the University of Queensland with a Law degree and Arts, majoring in International Relations and Indonesian.
Whilst at university, he was a recipient of the prestigious New Colombo Plan Scholarship which allowed him to study the Indonesian language and legal system - particularly its integrity institutions.
Alex began working in the legal industry as an undergraduate student in 2014. Since then he has benefited from experience in medium and large firms, in-house legal teams, the university sector, and public institutions.
“These experiences have strengthened my resolve to help improve the lot of ordinary people. I’m pleased to say that working at Hall Payne has given me a platform to do just that”.
Outside of work, Alex is a keen sportsman and has previously represented Australia and Queensland on youth swimming teams. In his spare time, he continues to pursue a variety of sports including swimming, SCUBA diving and underwater rugby.
